Explore the rugged, undeveloped Atlantic coastline of eastern St. Maarten on this scenic 3-hour guided hike. Beginning at Guana Bay and following the coastline trail, your guide will point out iguanas, seabirds, cactus, neighboring islands, and natural rock formations — some shaped like the ancient faces of the Arawak people.
The turnaround point is Geneve Bay, where we pause to sit and relax, enjoying the peaceful sound of pebbles rolling in the surf. The return journey follows the same scenic path back to Guana Bay Beach, where you can remove your shoes and cool your feet in the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea as you stroll along this unspoiled shoreline. A refreshing cold drink will be waiting for you at the finish.
Be sure to bring your camera – the views throughout the hike are breathtaking.
Hikers should be in good physical condition and able to handle steep, uneven terrain. Children as young as 9 years old are welcome but must be agile and strong. This is an intermediate-level hike featuring short, steep ascents and descents along narrow coastal paths.
