Kayak Lagoon Tour

Tour Overview

With approximately an hour of kayaking, this is our more adventurous tour — ideal if you’re looking to get some active exploration or have previous kayaking experience. That said, even first-time paddlers are welcome – we provide a comprehensive safety briefing and a short introductory paddling lesson at the beginning of the excursion. It’s not difficult — it just requires team coordination!

We’ll launch from Kim Sha Beach into the stunning Caribbean Sea, then enter the tranquil Simpson Bay Lagoon by way of the channel beneath the bridge. Stay close to the rocks as we pass through — we’ll highlight tropical crabs and, with some fortunate sightings, spot an iguana or two.

As we navigate through the lagoon, we enjoy up-close views of luxurious mega yachts anchored at the various marinas that line the shore (Mega Yacht season runs from November through April). After around 30 minutes of paddling, we reach our rest stop – a peaceful mangrove area where we pause to relax. Our expert guides will point out fascinating marine life such as the Upside-Down Jellyfish and the unusual Sea Cucumbers, which flourish in the calm, shallow waters. Stay alert for Tarpon on the hunt and the elusive Grey and Blue Herons that often nest in these quiet natural spaces.

Crossing back under the bridge, and if sea conditions permit, we paddle to Simpson Bay Beach for a scenic change of pace and a refreshing swim, helping us stretch and relax before we return to Kim Sha Beach to enjoy a cool beverage and some great conversation with your guides.
